U.S. Congressman Al Green and the 2009 Money Smart Kid Winners
The Money Smart Kids Challenge is aimed at financial literacy empowerment for students by helping students develop knowledge of economic and personal finance concepts, understand budgets and the importance of financial planning and become better prepared for their future roles as consumers, investors, and workers. The Money Smart Kids Challenge is geared to middle school math students. Finalists will be selected to attend the Money Smart Kids “Recognition” Ceremony awarding four students scholarships to the Rice University Summer Institute Programs.
